Hardly anything on voip/pbx (as pstn is dying) is directly xbase compatible these days. Mostly what you will get are TAPI interfaces for Windows OS. Greetings All,

A client has asked me about developing an application which would 
interact with users via touch-tone phone (i.e. landline or smart phone).

So I'm wondering if anyone can share any recommendations regarding 
toolkits, APIs, and hardware you may have used in conjunction with such 
an XBASE++ application.

Asterisk system is where you should begin research, then interface to 
REST/SOAP and SQL .

Hardly anything on voip/pbx (as pstn is dying) is directly xbase 
compatible these days. Mostly what you will get are TAPI interfaces for 
Windows OS.
