I heard a rumor this week that SAP will officially stop development of 
Advantage Database Server next year. Has anyone else heard anything 
about that???  Hopefully, it's not true.

I've got to wonder, however.  Version 11 of ADS has been out for several 
years now, and no production/supported version 12 has been released, 
only beta.  Maybe they have already unofficially stopped production?

If anyone has heard any news regarding the future of ADS, please share

Hi Chris,

Advantage database server (ADS) continues.
As of January 2018, only the sales rail will be changed.  ADS will be 
distributed via so-called "SAP Channel Partners" (OCPs).
Therefore, the direct contracts with SAP are terminated and continued by the 
OCPs.

At the SAP conference (October 12-13) in Amsterdam, SAP announced a version 
12.1 of ADS to be released by the end of this year.
The statement that it is part of SAP's policy is to guarantee a minimum 
livecycle of 5 years after the last release.

In Europe, TOBAX Software GmbH are an OCP to responsable for ADS sales and 
support.
