Hi

SAP now own Crystal Report and give you two choices:

- Use Visual Studio C# (the paid version) with the free Crystal runtime
available here:
https://blogs.sap.com/2016/12/06/sap-crystal-reports-developer-version-for-microsoft-visual-studio-updates-runtime-downloads/

- Use Crystal Report Server using web request (have absolutely no
knowledge about that) from xbase, show result using XbpHTMLViewer()

I have done a C# software who receive an XML file from our main
software. This XML file contains the report name, path to database,
print target (window, printer, pdf, ...), report parameters... This
software is not for sell, but it just read all settings from the XML
and send them to Crystal.

Oh and I forget one important things: Crystal Report no longer support
DBF! You will have to use ODBC.

I miss the free OCX with direct DBF access that was available 10 years
ago...

Oh they just add back the DBF support in the latest service pack!

"Update: Crystal reports for VS did not support Dbase file types.
Discussions with our Product team resulted in adding the Xbase driver
back into the various packages."
