Hi,

I just activated Xbase++ 2.0 and I want download updates too.
There are four updates - 556, 560, 570, 575.
Is it enough download and install last one build 575 or I must step-by-step
download and install all 4 files?

TIA & Regards
                         Zdeno

Hello Zdeno,

each update is a complete-version. 575 is sufficient.

Hi,

ok, thanks.
Anyway, if I want download any updates, message with next info is displayed:

An error was returned by the Update Manager:
Your download benefit expired on(22.10.2014)
Pleae check the log for deteils.

Why? I just checked my status about active subscription in my Account on
Alaska's web site, and it is valid to 2015-10-22.

Dear Zdeno,

It seems that your product key wasn't associated correctly
with your customer account, which is probably why the
update fails. Were you able to activate your copy of Xbase++?

Hi Till,

yes, it was activated without problem.
If I select About... item from Help menu,
there is my Product key included and status is Activated.

Dear Zdeno,

  Thank you for the info.
Meanwhile, I've checked your customer record and it appears
as if the problem is due to simple human error; back when we
introduced the activation mechanism, there was a small
period where product keys had to be associated manually
during subscription renewal. Apparently, this did not happen
in your case and probably is the reason why you were able
to activate but couldn't update.

Your customer record has been corrected in the meantime.
Could you please try again?

@all: Should anybode else see this strange "download
benefit error" when attempting to update, please call in so
we can set your records straight!

Dear Till,

ok, it works now yet.
Last build is downloaded and installed already.

Many thanks

No, not this one but I do get an error when contacting the update server:

An error occured while creating the dialog:
Error contacting the update server. Please check
yout network connection and try again later. If
this problem persists, contact Alaska Software.

I do have a proper network connection, but even a restart of my machine did
not make any difference. This problem seems to be here a couple of days
already. If had hadn't read about the new update here in the newsgroup, I
would have missed it.

Peter,

According to our logs the update server hasn't processed
any requests since around Sunday, although the system
itself was up. This is strange...

Meanwhile, the server was restarted - could you please
try again?

Kind regards,
  Till Warweg

FYI... After I saw Itai's "Problems With New Realease - 575" posting I
tried to go into the Workbench Update Manager and experieced the same
as Peter.

I also noticed that my Xbase++ is "Not Activated" again after I
upgraded to 575 last week. I did not notice if this happened
imediately after my 575 upgrade as I was focusing on seeing if there
had been any progress on the completion of the CXP documentation.

I have only ever activated the product on my main development laptop
and have not made any hardware changes to it with the exception of
installing some drivers for the Thinkpad OneLink docking station in
the hopes of getting the USB posts on it to run at 3.0(as they should)
instead of 2.0.

I will reactivate it again this morning.

Regards... Jonathan

Works again.
Checked with the external drive as well, install stays activated.
