Is the printer actually shared as 'printername' as mentioned in the above?

If you do 'net view \\pc_name' what appears in the list regarding printers?

Did you also get the test page come out when it/you installed the print
spooler for the printer?

Oh, yes.

And is this Kyocera printer DOS compatible? Some laser printers are GDI
(the print driver is the brain of the device) and will not work
correctly when printed to directly from DOS programs.

I agree with Igor, DOSPRINT "save my life"
I have it in old Clipper programs (now in xBase), it prints on USB, network,
conver files to pdf, rtf, send file to mail ....
It cost only 40 , but the benefits are beyond that price

We have also been using Dosprint for a number of years now and have it
installed in hundreds of sites. It has without question, saved us when it
comes to printing in windows.

I highly reccomment it.

I was looking for statements like this when putting my question in SOAPBOX

"PDF- or TIFF-Converter for DOS style printer commands" from 30.11.2006
.... Just 1 answer. And when other things are asked .....
