Dear all,

Until now I worked fine with Vista in a DOS prompt and after closing the
debugger I come back in de DOS prompt and can reuse y commands.

But as time goes on the Vista machine crashed after more than 4 year so I
had to buy a new machine which is of course Windows 7. But on this machine I
don't come back nice and tidy in the DOS prompt and de DOS prompt hangs.

Does someone notice this problem also and has a workaround for it.

Dear all,

I have found a workaround allready. Just start xppdbg with the command start
/max xppdbg. The maxscreen uses the default values of a DOS prompt. At the
start of Windows it is mostly small so you should expend it to get a good
view of the debugger.

Sometimes it is usefull to work more than 40 years with computer because now
and than a solution from the old box popped in.

Nice - I have been looking for a solution to this problem for a long time
since my command window also freezes under Win 7 when using the debugger.

Hi,

You might consider Hotfix Rollup #36 - After that rollup is applied VIO
applications written in Xbase++ will no longer stall the shell from which
they have been started.

Hope this helps,

i do not use XppDBG.exe i use VX20.EXE as Debugger (only)

you can start it from CMD Box and while it is a Window Application
you can work same Time in CMD Box and VX Editor when debugging.
