Hello,
I get sometimes this error when printing to a serial printer. The COM port 
is opend correctly bevore, so I see no problem.

You might want to improve on your Error Log routine -- at least the OS Error
description should be shown. OS Error number 1167 means: "The device is not 
connected", which usually means that the printer is either off-line, not 
responding, or simply disconnected.
