with Xbase++ activeX that it is very-very-very slow, while it is quick in IE
or if you dblclick on *.PDF.

someone say ist does not happend with Acrobat Reader Version v8.x, but i
have the same with v6.x
i did install OS() (XP Sp2 and Win7) "fresh" and did not do any v8.x or v9.x

Hello Jimmy,
same problem, but there is a tool called PDFSU, that prevents unnecessary
things be loaded with acrobat. This can help a little to speed up.
regards
Rudolf

Jimmy,

yes, I do have this problem. And I am the one that mentioned that I did
not have this problem with 331 and Adobe Reader 8.

If I start the Reader and load a pdf via ActiveX in my Xbase++ project
the Reader is started very fast, also the first page of the pdf. But
scrolling though the document needs at least 10-20 seconds from one page
to the next one.

I have not changed my code. It is just a new Xbase++ version and a new
Adobe Reader version.

And as you wrote: This problem occurs only in my Xbase++ projects.
Everawhere else the Reader works as fast as expected (or as slow as we
know the Reader).

Jan
