Does anyone know a good way of extracting EMAIL address and SMTP
Server from the Registry - I'm using the Thomas Braun's Registry class
to access the registry.

From my initial checking, it's a mess, and depends on what email
client, and what version - sigh

Well, the reason it is a mess is because thee settings are handled entirely
by client applications. The intenet connection does not need to know any of
these details. I am afaid you stuck with what you already know.

If I have massive computer systems, I will take at least as many precautions
as a small business and include things such as virus-scans and firewalls.

This was discussed in here ages ago - to the same conclusion.

Perhaps the reason you want to get the email address from the registry is
more important?
