Jose Adriano Baltieri | LoadFromUrl returns NIL - Why ? on Mon, 22 Dec 2003 10:44:31 -0200 Hello ! I'm using LoadFromUrL and, sometimes it returns NIL. Docs says there are several reasons for that. Would there be a way to get closer to the real reason ? Maybe I could inquiry some other status either internally (using some sort of C-API function) or externally, running a cmd line utility for instance. The host is local (127.0.0.1). My guess is that there must be some problem with Windows itself. TIA ! Skander | Re: LoadFromUrl returns NIL - Why ? on Fri, 30 Jan 2004 02:19:14 +0100 Dear Jose, could you please provide the complete function call you are using? This would help answering your request. Which Xbase++/ASINet version are you using? According to the Online Documentation, LoadFromURL() return NIL if an error occoured in the TCP/IP connection. BUT: If you are trying to connect to a secure site by passing an URL like http://user:name@server.com/path, this might fail as PDR 5316 states: http://www.alaska-software.com/cgi-bin/waa1gate.exe?WAA_PACKAGE=PUBLICDTS&WAA_FORM=DISPLAYPDR&PDRID=5316 Check the Online Knowledge Base for more PDRs: http://www.alaska-software.com/kb Does this help?
