Hubert Brandel | WHAT is my IP-ADRESS on Tue, 14 May 2002 17:46:37 +0100 Hi, I know that there is IPCONFIG, but this works only if I am direktly in the Internet. I am behind a little DSL Router/Switch. So I have a lokal IP-Adress, but my clients on other comps have to know my aktual WWW - IP adress. I could use a webbrowser to go on a www.site from my, but wow to get my IP Adress with JAVA-Script or HTML and how to put the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx into a small file on the www server ... No, I can't put any software exept of html pages on my site. Is there a TCPIP Funktion to ask my router for his www adress ??? Any idea ? Where can I get a programm that hold on the DSL line, not to get a new IP Adress every 10 minutes ? Bye Hubert

This compromises your security in more than one way. For more information you may want to ask at de.comp.security.misc or de.comp.security.firewall HTH Thomas Braun
Hubert Brandel | Re: WHAT is my IP-ADRESS on Wed, 15 May 2002 21:53:32 +0100 Hi, i want to build a Server Programm with asinet (not www, ftp etc.) and have some people with a client for this server on some Internet PCs. I can crypt the transfer, but the PC have to know my current IP Adress (not the one inside my lan). The router/switch (hardware black box) can define virual servers, so only the port I use with my programm is accessable and only on the defined machine.
