I enabled ActiveX in the security center as described in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179076.aspx#modifyactivexbu t but that did not help. The previous installation came with a new laptop and was obviously not installed correct. Based on experience I always buy a separate OS license and re-install rather than using any pre-installed configuration. Last time I had to use a set of recovery DVDs for a HP Desktop PC, I ended up with a english Windows 7 instead of the german one I bought with the computer. thomas |
