My server keeps returning 'Cannot find configuration file waa1gate.cfg 2

It's the '2' that's the problem. I have tried renaming the regular cfg to
.cfg 2 etc

I am new to WAA - have I missed the point somewhere? Can I tell the
waa1gate.exe to look for a different cfg name?

No the 2 is not the problem . It's just an error number
which in this case says the file was not found (it's a bit
redundant ).

Make sure the waa1gate.cfg is in the cgi-bin folder but I
have seen setups where the file should be placed in the
docroot.

As Robert said, this is an error code. Are you using Apache, IIS or what
as your web-server? Normally waa1gate.cfg should be in the same directory
as waa1gate.exe, but with IIS this may need to be moved to a different
directory.
