WAA Log IP Address

Normally, the WAA log file contains the user's IP address.
When a WAA application is behind a proxy server the unique IP addresses
of the users making requests are all the same - 10.1.1.1
Is there some way of configuring WAA to read a different environment
variable passed from Apache rather than the default variable of
REMOTE_ADDR?
