James Loughner | VXPackage??? on Wed, 24 Dec 2003 17:11:08 -0500 Anyone know what a VXPackage is and how to use it?? There is no mention in the DOCs. Looks like a way to extend VX functionality. But a simple example would help. Jim

But to explain the stuff here some examples: o A VX package could insert some haeder info each time a new prg or ch file is created. At this point the package could shoot in time/date/author information. o Another one could implement a autosave mechanism, where all files are saved from time to time when modified. o Another one could be a CVS integration. It could check whether a file needs to be checked out from repository. o Another one could start the coffe machine when The VX is up more then 10 hours All this can be implemented in a Xbase++ DLL and can be automatically loaded when VX comes up. > Jim Regards Andreas Herdt ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // // Alaska Research & Development // Homepage: www.alaska-research.com // Newsgroup: nntp://news.alaska-Software.net // //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
