Heiko Schmidt [Databear Software] | Re: Suddenly VX does not work on Wed, 07 Jul 2004 09:24:37 +0200 Jim, please check that VX was installed in the same directory you installed Xbase++ 1.82 in. If VX still not working, delete the registry entries of VX. You can use "vx20 -cr" to clear your registry. Now try again. Does this help? Mike Grace | Re: Suddenly VX does not work on Wed, 07 Jul 2004 08:57:09 +0100 James, Are you using the 1.9. ADSDBE Beta? If so, that screws up VX. You will need to uninstall VX and xbase, reinstall both but don't put the ADSDBE beta in there. James Loughner | Re: Suddenly VX does not work on Wed, 07 Jul 2004 12:23:44 -0400 Vx was installed and running. But suddenly stopped working with the bridge errors. tried uninstalling an re installing with no help. Starting with vx20 -cr seems to lockup. I have given it a good long time to complete ( do have a rather large registry) but it simply never returns. Better then 5 minuets now. James Loughner | Re: Suddenly VX does not work on Sat, 10 Jul 2004 14:54:46 -0400 Found the problem somehow I had an old copy of XppUi3.dll, probably form trying to update the OCX stuff. This also caused a problem with the FD. I had a copy of the DLL 1.82 but I can't find a copy of the lib. Could someone send me a copy of the XppUi3.LIB dated 3/27/03 BTW whats in XppUi3.dll there is nothing in the documentation about it and none of my programs seem to use it. James Loughner | Re: Suddenly VX does not work on Tue, 06 Jul 2004 22:47:09 -0400 I thought thats what I was doing. I have even tried uninstalling and installing again. I have not used VX much I still like my little IDE. I can develop much faster just using it. But VX does have a very nice debugger that comes in handy at times. Its just that now I can't seem to get it to run at all. Steffen F. Pirsig [Alaska Software] | Re: Suddenly VX does not work on Mon, 12 Jul 2004 19:51:27 +0200 James, sorry for the late reply. However the runtime error 217, ... while loading the bridge is always a indication that an older Xbase++ Runtime DLL or an old XPPOCX.DLL is somewhere hanging around. VX needs 1.82.294 to work properly. You can check this if you execute XPPLOAD VERSION in the bin-directory where VX20. EXE and VXIDE20.EXE reside. HTH Steffen F.
