Just wanted to say, despite a few minor bugs (which I sent via e-mail to
support), my first experience with VX was good. It's shaping up VERY nicely.

Hats off to the team!

Thank you, it's appreciated. I'll pass that on .
Also, I can confirm that we've received said e-mail.

After looking at it a bit more, the bug maybe because when VX was installed,
it did not update my xbase++ 182 installation. Because I have a few versions
of xbase++, xbase++ is not "formally" installed.

My guess is that the new debug DLLs need to replace those in the standard
runtime and all would be fine??

correct. you want to back up the Debug dll for 1.82...... Visual over
rides it and you lose the original DLL for Xbase

Scott,

We did intend the debugger DLLs to replace the original ones .
However, I can't promise you that your problems will go away
then. This is because I haven't gotten round to actually reproducing
them. I seem to remember that the last revision had problems
with certain debugger views that didn't check the current
debugger state properly. This sometimes caused operations to
be allowed/performed that weren't exactly legal. Such as
manipulating callstack items when the app. was actually
executing code.

However, if you intend to use VX I'd suggest you give it a
clean runtime to sit on anyway! And remember: always
make copies of your files, folks !!

Have a nice weekend,

The error I sent you was in German... so, unfortunately, I don't know what
it was saying... not that I need to know <s>.

I've used xclass for a few years now and all the code is documented in
German... you'd think I'd start picking some of it by now.... but my
language challenged self finds it easier to read code than German <s>.

Although I still remember some Kurundi from spending several years in
Burundi as a child.... To bad no one in Burundi is creating code libraries
documented in Kurundi! I think they are too busy with minor things such as
genocide, food and disease.

You have been in Burundi? Ive been in Rwanda 17 years ago, we had several
developping programs supported from the university at Heidelberg there. But
my language capabilities are not so good, I dont remember any words... Yes,
while I was there I several times had the impression that the whole area is
a big bottle of TNT and it needs only a person to put some fire on it. There
was a relative freedom an peace there at this time and at least the
gouvernement of Rwanda at that time did a good job and nearly every one
there had enough for eating. They had a very stable internal rural ecomony
and they did not depend on international large companies to buy seeds and
NPK and others, they have been poor but independent. But such a situation
can not be tolerated by international companies and organizations, so it was
expectable that someone will come and throw the fire into it. And it
happened, they murdered the president and the killing started.
