Hello,

This message is for all visitors of the European Xbase++ Devcon 2004.

As you know the Xbase++ Devcon is held on 12 and 13 November 2004 in the
Netherlands. (See www.xxp.nl/html/devcon_2004.html for details).
For all visitors that arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol airport, we advise to
arrive on Thursday 11 November. The traveling from Amsterdam to the
conference wil take quite some time during the rush hour. So if you arrive
on Friday morning, it is verry unlikely you wil be on time for the opening
at 10:00 am.

IF there are a sufficient number of attendees arriving on Thursday
afternoon, we are thinking of organizing a traveling arrangement on Thursday
from Amsterdam to the conference, and on Sunday morning from the conference
back to Amsterdam Airport.
The more attendees that are using this service the cheaper it can get per
attendee.

Keep in mind:
- Arrival on thursday before 18:00 local time  (Gmt +1)
- Departure on Sunday after 13:00 local time
- Extra overnight stay for thursday to friday
- Extra overnight stay for saturday to sunday

Nov 11, 16:30 and depart from Frankfurt on Sun. Nov 14, 13:30.

Is there anyone else with similar travel plans? Perhaps we can share the 
cost of a car rental for driving to the conference. A car rental + gas for 
the 3 days would be approx 150 EUR.

Too bad, Boris, my flight lands in FRA at 8:00 on the 11th and departs
FRA at 12:15 on the 15th 
I plan to fly from FRA to DUS to FRA.  I'll pickup a car in DUS.
Sharing the cost of the car would have been nice.
Anyone else interested?

just a hint that there is a very fast train (ICE) connection from Frankfurt
Airport to Duesseldorf, f.e. 8:48 h, 9:09 h, 9:15 h and so on, very
frequently and it's only about 1:20 h driving time. Maybe this is cheaper
than flying and gives you some compensation for the cost of car rental. If
you are interested, have a look at

Thank you, but I already checked the train option... it actually turns 
out to be more expensive than renting a car.

Thanks for the info Karlo.
Actualy my flight from FRA to DUS is costing me 36$CAN (20 EURO) return!
So it's very hard to beat.
Also, I don't plan to stay at the Castel so a car will come in handy.

My flight itinerary just got changed!
I will fly via Paris to Dusseldorf.  So my schedule is:
Arrival at Dusseldorf Thursday the 11th at 11:35.
Departure from Dusseldorf Sunday the 14th at 10:55.
I am picking up a car at DUS airport and will be driving to/from
Venlo (Van der Valk Hotel).
There will be 3 available seats in the car, so if any of you
has a similar schedule, I'll be happy to accommodate.
