I am a long-tine FoxPro/Visual FoxPro developer who is now working on an
XBASE++ project (version 1.90). We have a great community of developers in the
VFP community, so I am wondering if that is also the case among XBASE++
developers. I don't seem to be able to locate any user groups though. |

effort to accommodate Fox way a little any how.

Nice to meet you, James. It seems there aren't that may XBASE++ developers
around, or am I mistaken? |

I'm up here in Owosso, Michigan. There are probably more Xbase++ developer
in the USA, Canada, and the rest of the world, than these newsgroups seem
to indicate. There are several VFP user groups here in Michigan, but I don't
think that there is a single US Xbase++ user group at this point.
Three of the providers of the most commonly used Xbase++ add-on products are
based in North America: Top Down (Clayton Jones, Florida), Express++ (Roger
Donnay, Idaho) and Xb2Net/SQLExpress (Boris Borzic, Canada). I don't use
Top Down or Express++, but I believe that at least Express has its own user
forum, and there are also dedicated Xb2Net and SQLExpress news groups.
Hope that helps,
Andreas

And, Express++ is having a developer's conference May 1, 2, and 3 in
Boise Idaho. It is primarily for Express++ users.

Our company has been using Xbase++ for 13 years. We are located in
Wausau, Wisconsin. I would advise going to Roger's Express++/Xbase++
conference in Boise Idaho. The biggest cost of attending is hotel/air
travel. Conference cost will be minimal according to Roger. |
