allmost every Version do have a own DLL or ODBC Version
so i guess you need "that" Version for XLSX files

btw. XLSX files are "compress", normal XLS not

I guess you might use wrong ODBC Version ...
your Snapshot is so small .. can´t see anything ...

why not use Win7
%windir%\system32\SnippingTool.exe
and save it as PNG

ask about SQLexpress at www.xbwin.com / SQLexpress
or use Newsgroup "news.xbwin.com"

Yes, basically XLSX files are ZIP containers that hold a directory
structure of XML files:
