Description:

Master Quote System platform development team is responsible for the 
development of quotation services and end-to-end transaction processing for 
various NEC Unified Solutions, Inc. Dealers, Channel Partners and Resellers, 
etc. The MasterQuote team provides key services for not only end customers, 
but also various internal business units. MasterQuote platform development 
team is looking for a self-motivated, highly skilled, hands-on Software 
Development Engineer (SDE), which can provide strong architectural, design 
and development on database-driven projects. This SDE will possess strong 
software engineering, and strong objected oriented programming skills. This 
SDE will design and develop data models, Quotation Modules using Xbase++. 
This SDE will also be responsible for tuning platform systems, carrying out 
data migration and doing ad-hoc reporting. This SDE will have strong 
knowledge of Alaska Xbase++, and/or Clipper.

Requirements:

The candidate should have ability to work independently as well as part of a 
team. This position will be involved in all phases of development from 
review of functional specifications, through development and execution of 
test plans and final QA cycle. Ability to design and deliver quality code 
and high performance database models are essential requirements. Experience 
with mission critical systems that operate 24/7/365, large databases, high 
volume and high availability transactional systems is highly desirable. Work 
closely with team members and the product management team to quickly 
diagnose and resolve problems.  Communicate with technical and non-technical 
colleagues and customers.

Qualifications:

  a.. Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent 
work experience.
  b.. 8+ years software development and design experience.
  c.. Experience designing, developing or implementing enterprise class. 
software applications is required.
  d.. Experience working with large scale financial applications is a plus.
  e.. Strong programming knowledge of Alaska Xbase++, Clipper required.
  f.. Experience with Alaska Software's Web Application Adapter (WAA) is a 
plus.
  g.. Strong programming knowledge of FoxPro will be considered.
  h.. Experience developing front-end web driven applications preferred.
  i.. Generally responsible for the entire software system owned by the 
team. Interface effectively with other teams, as necessary, to implement 
updates and enhancements.
