 since beta-2 of Xbase++ 1.9 is out
 and available for download, more and
 more of you are getting in touch
 with the ActiveX technology.

 To provide a central place for exchanging
 knowledge and experience related to
 the rather large and complex subject
 of ActiveX, a new newsgroup has been set
 up. Please refresh your newsreader and
 subscribe to the new newsgroup dedicated
 to the ActiveX technology:

 alaska-software.news.activex

 We would like to ask everybody to direct
 postings related to ActiveX to the
 ActiveX newsgroup only. Thank you very
 much in advance.

 In addition, we would like to reiterate
 that beta-related postings should not be
 made to any of our newsgroups. Instead,
 in case you feel that you have found a
 problem or defect in one of the Xbase++
 1.9 beta releases, please forward your
