Steffen F. Pirsig [ALASKA] | Xbase++ 1.9 beta-4 available on Fri, 12 Aug 2005 16:05:02 +0200 Hello to all our Xbase++ users, Finally!! We have reached the first finishing line: A minute ago, the fourth BETA-DROP of Xbase++ V.1.90 has gone online, and is now considered to be technically complete. Minor additions and/or changes in the documentation as well as in the packaging process are going to take place, with the exception of unlikely serious problems, which you might identify during testing. So, the designated Release Candidate will be one of the next releases. If you are curious about the new Feature-Set List, then you should check out the "List of changes" section of the online documentation. As all of you always read the READX.ME anyway, needless to say that there you will also learn more about last-minute changes and potential problems to which you might be subjected to. Now, let's lay hands on it! To download beta-4, please use the corresponding link to the product you have registered with us: For registered customers of Xbase++ 1.82: www.alaska-software.com/beta19. For customers with a valid Foundation Subscription: www.alaska-software.com/beta19_found. For customers with a valid Professional Subscription: www.alaska-software.com/beta19_prof. Almost all of you are familiar with the process by now. Let's see: If you use one of the above links, then your web-browser will display a dialog asking you for your username and password. You enter the data which was emailed to you by our ESD system. In the rare case that you cannot locate your authentification data, you are eligible to request that data from us by sending an email to esd@alaska-software.com with HELP in the subject line. The ESD system will guide you through the process. If all of this has still not gotten you the desired result, please send an e-mail to info@alaska-software.com, ideally with your customer number (CID) included! Now, we hope you will have as much fun with it as we had developing it, and we anxiously await your feedback. Don't forget, it will improve the Release Candidate, which is soon to be available as well. Stay tuned! Regards, Your Alaska Software Team |
